FOD Detection assists teams in locating potential foreign object debris on paved airside surfaces. The on-board RGB model displays each candidate with a box, one of ten class labels and a confidence score in DJI Pilot 2.
Small objects require low flight, optical zoom or both; validate the chosen height against a known test object before surveying. The on-board release does not detect cracks or repaired cracks and does not assess pavement condition. It supports—but never replaces—the required airside inspection, and a clear screen is not evidence that a surface is free of FOD.

After purchase, you will receive algorithm updates for up to 12 months. After this period, all previously released model versions will remain available for unlimited use.
