Thermal Fawn Detection supports pre-mowing searches by marking Fawn, Deer and Person heat signatures in the live DJI Pilot 2 view. Separating the three classes helps operators distinguish a small fawn from adult deer and members of the ground search team.
Cool ground and strong thermal contrast usually give the best results. Tall or wet vegetation can hide or weaken a signature, warm ground features can be flagged, and nearby animals may merge into one detection. Every candidate must be checked on the ground before mowing begins.
