Dandelion Detection maps visible flowering dandelion heads during low-altitude grassland surveys. The on-board RGB model reports one Dandelion-flower class and displays each detection with a box and confidence score in DJI Pilot 2.
The model detects flowers, not dormant plants, unopened buds or seed heads. Above roughly 20 m, flowers may be too small for the camera to resolve. Other yellow flowers or debris can look similar, so spot-check results on the ground before planning treatment.
Upon purchase, the algorithm will be linked to the drone’s serial number and made available through the Pilot 2 application. After purchase, you will receive algorithm updates for up to 12 months. After this period, all previously released model versions will remain available for unlimited use.
