Thermal Patrol Detection helps operators scan a scene by marking Person, Vehicle and Bicycle heat signatures in real time. The model runs on-board from the White Hot thermal feed and displays a box, class label and confidence score in DJI Pilot 2.
The algorithm works by thermal contrast rather than visible light, so it can operate by day or night. Hot ground, structures, weather, partial cover and thermal crossover periods can reduce reliability or create false positives. Use the boxes to prioritise attention, not as proof that an area is clear.
