SAI-HUB DD is an autonomous drone operations software engineered exclusively for DJI Dock systems. It delivers professional drone in a box orchestration by integrating powerful local edge computing with an advanced software suite. Designed for enterprise needs, it provides the comprehensive control required for safe, Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations, whether you manage a single dock or oversee multiple geographic locations.

On-Premises Architecture and Edge Computing

Security and continuous local processing are core to the SAI-HUB DD architecture. The system is powered by the Brain-Box, an IP66 rated on-premises hardware unit that handles all edge computing and data storage locally. It is equipped with 512 GB of expandable storage and remains fully functional offline.

The architecture supports three distinct levels of connectivity to fit specific operational requirements:

  • Level 1 Direct Access: Connect directly to the on-site Brain-Box using its hotspot or a local LAN connection. This setup guarantees fully local operations without any internet dependency.
  • Level 2 Shared Access: The Brain-Box connects to a site router via Wi-Fi or LAN, allowing operators to access the system securely from a local control room.
  • Level 3 Multi-Dock Overview: Utilizing SAI-HUB Online, remote teams can view and manage multiple Brain-Boxes and docks across different sites. This level requires an internet connection for remote oversight.

Real-Time AI and Object Detection

SAI-HUB DD brings powerful artificial intelligence directly to your operating environment. Storing over 25 AI algorithms strictly on the Brain-Box, the software executes real-time detection at a rate of 10 to 30 frames per second.

Operators receive immediate visual feedback for diverse categories, including smoke and fire, vehicles, people, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD). Because processing is completely localized, sensitive operational data is never sent to the cloud.

Mission Planning and Automated Execution

SAI-HUB DD streamlines complex flight operations through its advanced mission scheduling. Teams can schedule recurring flights to conduct routine inspections and monitoring hands-free. The system's multi-task management allows operators to prioritize, queue, and coordinate several operational tasks from a single planning environment.

To expedite deployment, operators can utilize ready-made mission templates:

  • Point of Interest: Automated orbital flight paths to focus on specific targets or infrastructure.
  • 360 Viewpoint: Automated panorama captures at specific waypoints for complete situational awareness.
  • Area Scan: Grid-based photogrammetry missions intended for high-resolution mapping.
  • Patrol Route: Fixed path surveillance workflows ideal for perimeter and yard monitoring.
  • Linear Inspection: Long-distance flight paths optimized for power lines and pipelines.
  • Custom Inspection: Highly flexible waypoint missions featuring user-defined gimbal actions and dwell times.

Additionally, SAI-HUB DD supports robust external sensor integration through supported APIs. Connect movement sensors or smoke detectors to the system; when a sensor is triggered, the drone automatically launches to investigate the event.

Virtual Cockpit and Situational Awareness

Maintaining control during missions is simplified through the Virtual Cockpit. Operators are kept fully oriented whether a flight is autonomous or manual. The interface supports immediate manual takeover from any connected workstation, complete with native joystick support and full keyboard and mouse integration.

Situational awareness is further enhanced by the OpenAir Multitrack Receiver integration. This brings live airspace awareness into the mission workflow. The system tracks ADS-B equipped aircraft up to 500 kilometers away, and supports FLARM, OGN, and ADS-L up to 50 kilometers, as well as Drone Remote ID up to 3 kilometers.

Flight Safety and Media Management

SAI-HUB DD includes several redundancy systems to ensure safe operations. A configurable pre-flight checklist automatically validates parameters like geofence integrity and battery levels before takeoff. An intelligent Return-To-Home (RTH) protocol triggers automatically during a signal loss, low battery, or emergency override. Operators can also upload custom maps and import strict no-fly zones directly into the software to enforce local airspace rules.

Following a mission, operators can utilize the centralized Media Gallery. This interface organizes recorded videos, raw image sequences, and CSV data entirely locally on the Brain-Box. Furthermore, searchable flight logs detail the event history and timestamps for post-flight compliance and review.

Hardware Compatibility

Built to accommodate cutting-edge hardware, SAI-HUB DD is fully compatible with both the DJI Dock 2 and DJI Dock 3 systems, offering an all-in-one upgrade to your enterprise drone fleet.
